Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the ANVIL website at anvillab.tech and the ANVIL workbench at anvillab.tech/app/ (together, "the service"). "We" and "us" mean the ANVIL team. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

The service is a beta

The workbench is in public beta. It is free to use, requires no account, and may change, gain or lose features, or be interrupted at any time. Report formats and spec definitions may change between versions.

Your designs

The specifications you enter, and the netlists, reports and other results the workbench produces for you, belong to you. We claim no rights in them. You are responsible for having the right to use any data you enter.

Simulation results are not sign-off

The workbench simulates with open predictive MOSFET models, not a foundry process design kit. Its results are estimates under those models. They are not validated against any manufacturing process and must not be relied on as the only basis for fabricating a chip, a product or any safety-related system. Verify any design in your foundry's process design kit and sign-off flow before fabrication. Decisions you make based on the service are your responsibility.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, and do not try to disrupt it, overload it, gain unauthorized access to it or to the systems that host it, or use automated means to make requests at a rate a person using the workbench would not. If you have found a security issue, please report it to hello@anvillab.tech.

Software we did not write

The workbench includes open-source software, including the ngspice circuit simulator, and open device models. Each is provided under its own license, and those licenses govern your use of those components.

Our content

The website text, design and the ANVIL name and mark belong to us. You may link to any page and quote short passages with attribution.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that simulation results are correct or that the service will be available without interruption.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to zero, except where the law does not permit such a limit.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
